The metalworking and watermill operations begun by our forefathers in the early years of the twentieth century continued until the 1950s. As they continued, the installation and operation of diesel flour mills, production of cart axles and manufacture of hand or horse operated water systems were included.
Our activities which continued from the 1960s to the 1990s were petrol and diesel water pump motor repair and maintenance and spare parts manufacturing, manufacture of spare parts for the shotgun sector which was widespread in our area and lathe and welding work. In 1994 our company was restructured and turned into a limited company and emphasis was placed on the manufacturing programme.
With the introduction of its first CNC workbench in 1995, DEĞİRMENCİ expanded its range of products. In 1998 it moved to a factory with a total area of 13500 m2 which had an 1800 m2 indoor social activities and administration area, and transferred from piecework production to a semi-mass/mass production system. Adjusting to developing market conditions in the years which followed, the number of its CNC workbenches are increased and production capacity is expanded.
Our company embarked on another restructuring that started in January 2004 and began ISO 9001:2000 training activities. In May 2004 it became an incorporated company. Our quality was certificated by TÜV CERT ISO 9001:2000 in may 2005.
DEĞİRMENCİ OTOMOTİV VE METAL END. A.Ş. (DEĞİRMENCİ AUTOMOTIVE AND METAL INDUSTRY INC.) is still producing automotive and industrial machine parts for domestic and foreign markets, various implants for the health sector and ammunition and weapon parts for the defence industry.
